Women in Roman London

For International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, one of the team at Billingsgate Roman House and Baths talks to Dr Rebecca Redfern of the Museum of London about the evidence for the lives of women in Roman London. Looking at tombstones, wax tablets from Bloomberg and the human remains of women themselves and the artefact they were buried with,Rebecca builds a picture of life for a range of women in the first city of London.
